Boathouse Environment UE5

Project Description

For my Unreal Engine course at The DAVE School we were tasked with creating a boathouse model and importing it into Unreal Engine on a landscape. All assets are my own aside from the MetaHuman and a few Quixel bridge twigs, debris, and textures. I created the the Trees and bushes in TreeIt, the landscape in Gaea, and everything else in Maya.

I created parent child Blueprints for the light switches and light bulbs and made it so you can use an eye dropper tool to select which lights the light switch controls. This allowed for me to easily add multiple light switches controlling their own arrays of lights.

The boat in the water is also a blueprint actor, running on a timeline to create the simple swaying motions and has an audio component for the sounds.

The boat garage doors and the standard doors all run on the same Blueprint code.

The MetaHuman is retargeted to mimic the Unreal Manny or Quin character’s animations.
